GEOMECHANICAL SOFTWARE TRAINING
NEMCCO offers a wide range of mining geomechanical software training courses to increase modelling skills and exposure to a particular software. The training courses include the most widely used geotechnical software such as MAP3D©, FLAC3D©, Rocscience© Suite and GeoStudio© Suite.
Practical cases will be presented based on real industry-based problematics and well-documented examples of strategies will be discussed.
EMPIRICAL METHODS FOR UNDERGROUND MINING
Our team provides guidelines and support to mine technical personnel and practitioners about various empirical methods and designs and the best approach to use them. The empirical methods we commonly use include stress estimation and rock pillar design, modified stability graph and ELOS graph, Backfill strength requirements, Cable bolting support, and others.
NEMCCO developed tools and applications based on Excel-VBA which helps technical personnel get quick answers to their questions and perform back-analyses to improve the design process. These tools and applications have proven to be very useful in conceptual or feasibility studies, as well as in taking tactical decisions during operation
